How to Fix ASUS Touchpad Driver Not Working?

You have to press the touchpad key again to enable the touchpad key.

3. Enable Touchpad from Windows Settings

 Touchpad can be disabled and enabled from the windows settings also. If the touchpad is disabled from the windows settings, then the touchpad will not work.

If the touchpad is not working then you have to enable it from the windows settings.

        To open the settings press Windows key + I on the keyboard.

        Now click on Devices.


        Now click on the Touchpad and then click on Additional Settings.

4. Enable Touchpad When Using External Mouse

        Type Touchpad settings in the windows search par and press enter to open it.


        From this setting you can check if the functionality of the Touchpad is enabled or not. If the settings is unchecked which says leave touchpad on when mouse is connected then you have to enable it and then check if the touchpad is working again or not.

Updating the drivers manually can be a tricky task but with the correct steps, you can update the drivers manually and resolve the problem you are facing with Touchpad.

        First visit the ASUS support website:

        From which website you have to search for the product.

        Now you have to download the driver and install the driver.

        To apply the changes you have to restart your laptop.

If the driver is installed then you have to try to Enable the driver or reinstall it manually using Device Manager

        Right-click on the Windows Start button and then click on Device Manager.

        Double click System device and then you will see the touchpad driver. Now right-click on the Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller and then click on Enable device.

 Reinstall the touchpad driver:

To reinstall the drive first right click on the driver and then click on uninstall device button.

Now follow the instructions and uninstall the driver.

Once the driver is removed then you have to restart the computer. Once the computer is restarted the driver should be reinstalled automatically.

Note: If the touchpad driver is not installed automatically then you can do so by visiting the ASUS support website.

Once the driver is installed you have to restart the laptop.

This should resolve the issue you are facing with the touchpad.
